Mudfog

MUDFOG was set up in 1994 to publish debut collections by writers from Teesside. Since then it has published 30 pamphlets and books by a wide variety of writers from a burgeoning local writing scene.

A number of the writers have gone on to national acclaim, giving readings throughout the country. All the publications have sold well -indeed a number have sold out and had to be reprinted.

Mudfog has also been involved in a number of poster projects, including a poem-poster dispayed on railway stations throughout the North-East, and “A Writer’s Map of Teesside” – literary history you can stick on the wall – which highlights just some of the wealth of writing from what has often been wrongly regarded as a ‘cultural desert’.

Our complete list is as follows – click on highlighted titles to read some samples.
