Nightmare on Flood Street
Animator Mark Jobe of Quay Productions and creative writer Niel Bushnell worked with Year 8 Pupils at Macmillan Academy to create an animation about the risk of flooding.
Literature
A Poem for the Millennium
Involving some of the world’s foremost poets, ‘A Poem for the Millennium’ was to consist of a 100 stanzas, celebrating the 20th century, and a 1000 lines, celebrating the last thousand years. The poem itself stalled at 28 stanzas, you can read Mark Robinson’s explaination as to why in “The big one that got away” and read the poem itself here.
Crossing the Tees
Artists Miranda Richmond, Adrian Moule and Anna Cole worked in libraries in Darlington, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool to provide workshops inspired by the River Tees in Cynanotypes, Collographs at Home and Blockprints.
Public Art
The Trophy Room
To mark the historic former home of Middlesbrough Football Club, Neville Gabie created a series of small interventions using of bronze casts across the whole site. The work was commissioned on behalf of Wimpey Homes.
Bottle Top Mural
Artist Adam Bligh worked in collaboration with visitors to the 20th Anniversary Open Day of Teesside Barrage with partners the Canal and Rivers Trust to create a bottle top mural now permanently displayed at the North Tower of the Barrage.

Willow Pattern Plates
Working with Middlesbrough born artist Emily Hesse, regular Tees Valley Arts contributor and artist Adrian Moule, we facilitated a collaboration that created the River Tees Rediscovered Willow Pattern Plate engagement.
