Sargasso: A multi-media dance performance event on the HMS Trincomalee

On Thursday 13th February 150 children from four Hartlepool Primary schools will be performing Sargasso, a multi media dance performance event on board HMS Trincomalee. Children from Jesmond Road, St Bega’s, Stranton and Throston Primary schools have been working, over the past four weeks, with professional artists to create an exciting, strange and entertaining event. Mixing contemporary dance, drama, percussion, animation, cello and didgeridoo the whole ship will be transformed into a living theatre space where audience groups will be guided between performances.

Continually leaving the shore of many places, taking on new cargo, new people and new roles. Travelling the depths of the oceans, to the shallows of the bay, always searching for the unknown.
