Picture Paper, 1946

Thanks to Scarlet Pink of Hands on Middlesbrough for the heads up about this short film, Picture Paper from 1946, partially set in Middlesbrough. It’s a hoot!

  • Fantastic and insightful film that seemed to mix fiction with reality, after all Max Lock was a town planner in Middlesbrough or Ironbrough as the film called it… It’d be interesting to know how much of the story was based on fact… Thanks to Scarlet Pink for bringing it to my attention, hence the post, and amused to know that my close friend Em Hesse had watched it the night before (and miraculously not fallen asleep – never watch a film with her)…
