I am really pleased to announce that I shall now be working one day a week for Streetwise Opera as Regional Coordinator for Middlesbrough, in addition to my 3 days a week at TVA!
This is a really exciting opportunity and I can’t wait to get fully started! I visited the London office last week to meet the team and have my induction. I met with Chief Executive Matt Peacock, general manager Susie Gorgeous and the rest of the London team. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and I felt so welcomed. Streetwise Opera are a fantastic organisation, and it was great to learn more about their history and the way in which they work.
Streetwise was founded in 2002 by Matt Peacock and now their work spreads over the country. They have regional coordinators in London, Manchester, Newcastle/Gateshead, Nottingham and Middlesbrough and weekly sessions in each region.
Being the regional coordinator for Middlesbrough will mean that I am the lead contact for both the Drop in Sessions and Explore sessions any public performances.
This Friday will be my first of 3 handover days with Newcastle/Gateshead coordinator, Fiona Fitzpatrick, and then I will be fully in post! Great news to start 2016!
