The Bioanimations Project took place in three primary schools in Hartlepool, with each school selecting an aspect of the key stage two Biology curriculum to be developed into an animated film focussing on specific knowledge requirements and key words. Writer Helen Rennie developed a text with children which was then recorded as a narration by animator Chris Kent who went on to illustrate the text using children’s artwork. The films will be used by the schools as a teaching resource when teaching the topics in the future.
