INTUNE: This Hand

My hand does everything with care
Using all fingers with love
Holding my daughter’s and son’s faces
To kiss and to hug to shake other’s hands
And thumbs up to give support
And to hand over presents of love
To knock on doors and say ‘Hello’
To open doors to welcome
To give a wave to passers by
To clap with joy but not to cut
Myself on glass of broken doors
Or to hurt or course distress by
Hurtful gestures or be biased
Or prejudiced, but to hold friends
Firmly in our hearts and hold on
To people who have passed on
