Harmony-on-tees

Film-maker Yussef Nimer and creative writer Dina Murphy worked with a group of young Muslims in Middlesbrough to create a film that captured and represented who they were; what their lives were currently, their thoughts, wishes & aspirations, breaking-down barriers of the perceptions of young Muslims and the Islamic faith as well as engaging young people with arts activities. The film was screened as part of WorldFest10 and on the Big screen in Centre Square. In partnership with the Minority Ethnic Inclusion Team, the work created will serve as a resource for Citizenship and learning, giving positive aspirations for young people.

With thanks to Middlesbrough Council and Harmony Initiative panel for funding this project.
